Cupids at the NYCIndieFF - by Yaba Tuffour

Hello there again Cupids lovers,

here are a few lines about the first NYC screening of our short film by one of our closest friends in the Big Apple: Yaba Tuffour.

Yaba worked closely with Angelo on the early stages of development of our short film, before moving back from London to New York, her hometown. So, who could better represent our little production than a true New York filmmaker?

Enjoy the reading!

Cupids at the NYC Indie Film Festival - by Yaba Tuffour

Cupid’s NY Premiere was a wonderful event filled with filmmakers and film enthusiasts. Watching it on the big screen really showcased the amount of detail put into the film, from the cupids subtle white glow to the more obvious cinematic style changes, it was all displayed and presented in the most beautiful way.

After the screening there was a small mixer. In a city like New York where everybody is fast paced and seriously plugged into their devices the mixer after watching Cupid was a nice reminder of the benefits of conversing with people around you IRL (in real life).

Yaba is an awarded NYC based independent filmmaker. Her work is featured in the Emmy awarded historical news reel "JFK: Building Peace For All Time."

She recently wrote, directed and produced the short film "Marvelous", which has premiered in NYC and DC.

While living in London Yaba worked with Angelo as an Assistant Producer on "Cupids." You can see more of her projects on Vimeo, IG, or twitter as @filmfrik
